What little child doesn’t want to know when Santa is coming? As a child, I used to get the Chocolate Countdown Calendars every year and I loved them! So when a fellow crafter asked for an SVG for Santa’s Beard, I could not resist. So please enjoy the Santa’s Beard Christmas Countdown Free SVG.

Just like Leanne did, she transferred the SVG onto Cardstock and will then place this one a metal surface (like a refrigerator) and have pompoms with magnets attached so the kids then can fill up Santa’s Beard for the countdown to Christmas!

Take a look at something similar I did to show you that you can use any type of cardstock to attach the vinyl to…

Take a look at how Chelsea Phillips made hers on Felt with Heat Transfer Vinyl. She will have the kids use cotton balls to attach to the felt!

Instructions

Before you begin, take a look at this short video explaining how to get the words and the numbers on the mat just as you see them on the screen instead of a row across the mat.

Red Vinyl for Santas Beard Cap

This project is fairly simple. Cut Santa’s cap out of red vinyl. I did not use transfer tape because it is very easy to peel this off the vinyl and place it on the glitter cardstock. Same for the white rim of the cap.

Easily place Santa’s hat trim and puff as well as his face to your choice. The face requires transfer paper due to the fine lines of the vinyl.

Numbers for Santas Beard

For the numbers on the beard, go ahead and weed out all the vinyl and then apply transfer tape to transfer it onto your surface.

Then adhere it to your surface. Use the scraper tool to adhere it and take your time to ensure that all the vinyl sticks as you lift the transfer tape.

Using the same method, use transfer tape to adhere the poem to your surface.

Adhere the poem and the Merry Christmas and you are done! Then take some magnets and glue them onto pompoms and hang it on the frig so the kids can easily place the pompoms on Santa’s beard for the countdown!

I love this because it is so visible to the kids! You won’t forget to put the pompom in place nor will the kidos! Make it special by telling a Christmas story after they place the pompom or watch a fun Christmas video! Make these times special memories the kids will talk about for years to come!
