It’s no coincidence that this month’s design (June) is a Love is Love Rainbow Heart. The intention of the design with the rainbow enveloped inside the heart is one of inclusivity. Everyone should be accepted as they are for who they are because to love one another is the greatest gift you can give and should not be biased.
The colors of the rainbow have meaning. Red is for Life. Orange is for Healing. Yellow is for Sunlight. Green is for Nature. Blue is for Harmony and Violet is for Spirit.
June was selected as the LGBTQ month to commemorate the riots that took place at the Stonewall Inn on June 28, 1969 in New York against a police raid. You can read the full story on the History website.
The best thing I read that hit my own heart with truth and love was from an interview done by the StarTribune with Quinn Vllagomez when he was asked “Thinking beyond just the month of June, what can allies do? He replied “Continue to support and advocate for their loved ones. Learn about that person by sitting down with them and listening to them. Really embrace that person and their life, whether they identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender. Do what you can to advocate for them.”
Powerful words to hear no matter who you are. Support and advocate for your loved ones. Listen and embrace everyone. Be inclusive. Love one another because Love is Love.
This design is very simple, just like love should be! The 3D layered heart was made with 8.5 x 11 cardstock and put together with foam dots.
The cutouts for HTV are made with heat transfer vinyl and each heart fits inside the other. For the words, you can either cut them out of white HTV and layer on top or you can make them smaller in Design Space and slice them out of the purple heart and your t-shirt color will show through.
There is also a PNG and JPG if you would like to use sublimation!
Watch a short video on how to use this in Design Space and how to assemble the 3D Layered SVG.
Love this!
