Memorial day is here and I wanted to make something that would be a tribute to all our fallen soldiers as a token of my appreciation to their service. I’d like to share with you How to Make a 3D Soldier with Wings using two different options.

My dad was in the Navy during WWII, my brother was in the Navy as well. My husband is a former Marine of 24 years and I am so proud of them all. I’m so appreciative of all our service members of today and those who have fallen.

One of my very favorite songs is Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA. I’d like to share the lyrics with you…

If tomorrow all my things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
With just my children and my wife.I’d thank my lucky stars,
To be livin’ here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
And they can’t take that away. And I’m proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
Next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.From the lakes of Minnesota,
To the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea. From Detroit down to Houston,
And New York to L.A.
Well there’s pride in every American heart,
And its time we stand and say. That I’m proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
Next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.And I’m proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
Next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

Free SVG

In this video, I show you how you can make a 3D Soldier with Wings using two files using your Cricut Access subscription. No worries if you don’t have a subscription, I also show you how you can find your own Free SVGs with Creative Commons Licenses to use. Knowing how to find these is good to have so you don’t have to worry about attribution or paying for a license to use the images.

In the video, I show you how to get the soldier but the wings were designed by me. I’m sharing the file that has both the soldier and the wings with you to use.
